What Customers Say About Polk Audio RC80i 2-Way In-Ceiling Speakers (Pair, White):

I am an audio engineer and I am very impressed with the clarity and base response for a ceiling installation. Remember to put insulation behind the speakers. These speakers sound great. Installation is a breeze. It increases the base response significantly. I installed these in the bathroom and we love them. After you cut the holes, just tighten 4 screws. The clamps pop right into place and it latches onto the ceiling sheetrock.
These speakers are amazing. They sound great and look really nice.Highly recommended for anyone looking for ceiling speakers.
The templates worked great. We purchased these Polk speakers to accompany a Yamaha sound bar and Klipsh woofer in a big, long room (20'x30'). I cut the hole conservatively, just to the inside of the line, and then shaved away around the cut for a snug fit.I am not well versed enough in sound dynamics to study the range and mix of highs and lows in what I am hearing. The sound bar worked well but, because of the room's size and length, it had a difficult time giving a true "surround sound" experience. We have the Polk speakers mounted just behind the main sitting area and aimed them toward the back wall to give them plenty of opportunity for the sound to ricochet around the room.Installation was easy. I can tell you that these speakers exceed my/our expectations and then some. We just sit back and "absorb" the sound experience. We will recommend these speakers in the future.
Not needed. Anyone that says they don't have enough bass is mistaken. I bought these speakers about 2 years ago and never wrote a review. They are excellent. The grille I had no problem getting off with a heavy paper clip. If you have the power in your receiver you get all you need. I don't even use my subwoofer for music. They are tight but you don't want them falling off with the vibration they create. I have a 801 Onkyo to power them and I'm supper satisfied with my sounds and so are all my guests.Buy the speakers and you will not regret it.
Simple, clean, installation.but glad I read the reviews first about the snug fit on the grills. these as the backs along with my other Polk's took me from 5.1 to 7.1 beautifully.
